Frequently asked questions

New Mortgage Hub

Registering and logging in

Yes, you will have to register to use our new Mortgage Hub. For any queries, email mortgage.desk@familybsoc.co.uk or contact our Mortgage Desk on 01372 744155.

The registration process is normally finalised within two working days and we’ll send you a confirmation email when it’s completed. For any queries, email mortgage.desk@familybsoc.co.uk or contact our Mortgage Desk on 01372 744155.

Your Username is your email address.

If you’ve forgotten your Username or password, please select the relevant link during the log in process. The system will then guide you through the steps to reset your details.

Requesting a ‘Forgot Password’ reset will provide a temporary password. Use this password to log in, after which you will be asked to choose a new password.

Please check your spam or junk folder if you haven’t received your Username or password reset email.

Managing applications

The good news is that the new Mortgage Hub supports most application types, making it easier to submit and manage cases online.

Right now, you can’t submit Part and Part, MUFB, Further Advances or porting applications through the new Mortgage Hub. Please use the relevant DIP, Illustration and application forms on our website instead.

Your information will save automatically when you complete each stage and move on to the next stage. If you log out before finishing, you’ll be taken back to stage one when you return. From there, simply navigate to the relevant stage to pick up where you left off.

Once an application has been completed you can’t change the details online. If your client’s circumstances change, please let us know as soon as possible, even if the change seems small. You can do this by sending us a secure message through the new Mortgage Hub.

You can add additional notes at the end of the application, in the ‘Additional Information’ box. Alternatively, if there’s something you’ve forgotten, you can send us a secure message through the new Mortgage Hub.

Managing account access

Please contact us immediately by emailing mortgage.desk@familybsoc.co.uk or call our Mortgage Desk on 01372 744155. When contacting us, you'll need to provide us with the broker's name and firm so we can suspend their account.

Old Mortgage Portal

The old mortgage portal will be open until 25 September 2026. The old mortgage portal can only be used for managing and downloading information on historic cases.

You will not be able to submit new applications through our old portal.

Please ensure you download all historic case information by the deadline.

Once the old mortgage portal is closed, any further information such as Mortgage Offers will be provided to you via email upon request.

Once logged into the old mortgage portal select ‘Clients’ and select the relevant client:

Application form

  • Expand 'Applications', using the green ‘+’ button next to the submitted date
  • Open the ‘Application’ section and click on the green ‘Completed’ button
  • You can then download a PDF version of application form.

Mortgage Offer

  • Expand 'Applications', using the green ‘+’ button next to the submitted date
  • Open the ‘Underwriting’ section
  • Select the link in the ‘Mortgage Offer approved’ task to download the offer document.

Client bank statements and ID documents

  • Scroll down to ‘Client details’
  • Bottom right is the list of Client documents you have uploaded
  • Simply click on the document and download.

At key stages of the underwriting process you will receive an automated email. Our underwriting team will also send you detailed emails throughout the application journey.

For any queries, email mortgage.desk@familybsoc.co.uk or contact our Mortgage Desk on 01372 744155.

Once an application has been completed you can’t change the details on the form. If your client’s circumstances change, please let us know as soon as possible, even if the change seems small.

You can do this by emailing us at loansunderwriting@familybsoc.co.uk. If you have significant changes to the original application, please complete and upload one of the supplementary application forms available on our website.

Links to these documents can be found within the Lending Criteria section on the old mortgage portal.

No, existing cases will not be viewable in the new Mortgage Hub. We recommend that you download any case information and documents before the current mortgage portal is closed.
