Older client? No problem.

19 Jul 2019

We don’t let age get in our way.

Do you have older clients who haven’t had any joy with the big high street lenders who can't see past their age?

We don’t do that. In fact, we’re specialists when it comes to later life lending and we pride ourselves on being different.

We have generous terms for older borrowers:

  • We lend up to age 95 at the end of the term for Owner Occupier repayment mortgages.
  • We lend up to age 89 when the loan starts for Owner Occupier and Buy to Let interest only mortgages.
  • We’ll take into account earned income up to the age of 70 and pension income beyond that.
  • We can also accept rental and investment income that can be evidenced on a SA302.
  • We have no set maximum loan amount.

Not only that but…

  • We listen: we take the time to listen to and understand your client’s story.
  • We use common sense: we underwrite all our mortgages individually and we don’t use underwriting software. We don’t credit score either.
  • We’re flexible: we treat each of your clients as individuals on a case by case basis.
We’re the experts: we’ve been helping older clients just like yours for years.

How have we already helped others?

When they were turned down because they were aged over 75, Bob and Linda were worried they'd have to move away from their children and grandchildren.

Our solution: We were able to offer the couple a 5 year fixed rate mortgage with a 14 year term, which meant they were able to buy their home and stay living near their family. Read their story
