A family solution to affordability

3 May 2019

Our Joint Mortgage Sole Owner (JMSO) arrangement offers a family solution to affordability, enabling family members to help each other realise their housing goals.

Whether it's taking that first step on the housing ladder, carrying out renovations or even helping older members of the family stay in their home, we're here to help families support each other.

Key features

  • Up to four applicants (one or two borrowers and up to two family members)
  • Only the occupying borrower(s) will be named on the title as the owner(s) of the property
  • Up to four incomes can be used for affordability calculations
  • Maximum LTV is 80% for owner occupier (Buy to Let is either 65% or 70% depending on the product chosen)
  • This arrangement can be used with any of our standard products, with the exception of the Family Mortgage and the Retirement Lifestyle Booster mortgage.
