Helping your self employed clients
Do you have a self employed client whose source of income is holding them back?
We can help!
We take pride in helping sole traders, limited company directors and partnerships get a mortgage. We listen and use our heads
We pride ourselves on taking a sensible view on income and trading history and we don’t do credit scoring. So your client’s application will be underwritten on an individual basis by a real person, not a computer. Our flexible approach means we may be able to offer your clients a mortgage, when the big high street lenders may simply say no, just because their work situation or accounts are complicated. Age needn't be an issue either as we're the experts at helping older borrowers including those who are self employed.
Sources of income we're happy to consider
- Two years trading history when assessing affordability
- For limited companies, if your client has more than a 33% financial stake in the business, we will consider their proportion of profit after tax plus salary
- Last year's SA302 or online HMRC Self-Assessment Return or the latest audited accounts rather than the average
- Multiple companies and multiple income streams
