Help landlords make the most of their savings

10 May 2019

Our Buy to Let Offset mortgage is similar to a standard mortgage but links your client's mortgage to our Offset Saver account. When any money is added into the savings account, it's automatically 'offset' against the mortgage which reduces the amount of interest charged.

Your client can choose one of two benefits: pay a lower monthly payment each month or reduce their mortgage term.

Features of our Buy to Let Offset mortgage

 TERM REDUCTION*

With this option your client will pay the full mortgage payment, and the benefit from offsetting their savings goes towards reducing the capital, so the mortgage balance should reduce faster and the mortgage may be paid off sooner.

PAYMENT REDUCTION**

Your client can use their offset savings to lower the monthly payments, but the mortgage won't be paid off sooner. Interest saved each month will be used to reduce the amount of the next month's mortgage payment; greater offset will mean lower monthly payments.

 OFFSET SAVER

Our Buy to Let Offset Mortgage requires your client to open an Offset Saver account which is linked to their mortgage. Unlike a regular savings account, there is no tax to pay on the money held in the account.

For more information on our Buy to Let Offset mortgages or any other mortgages, please contact your local BDM.
