The Stamp Duty holiday – what’s your view?

2 Jun 2021

As you know, in July 2020 the Chancellor froze stamp duty on properties valued up to £500,000 to help stimulate the housing market and generate additional economic activity during the pandemic.

Your business

We are really interested in your views into how the stamp duty holiday has influenced the buying decisions of your clients, and ultimately how this has impacted the make up of the business you have received during this period.

Your thoughts

We are working with the London School of Economics, who are conducting research to determine if the benefits the Chancellor wanted to generate have happened and are continuing to happen.

We have created a short online survey which should take less than 8 minutes to complete. As a thank you, each completed survey will be entered into a prize draw for the chance to win a £250 John Lewis gift voucher*.

I hope you can help us. We think it is important that the Chancellor and his team know the real-world effects of the stamp duty holiday. The report will be published in late July and will be available on our website.

If you have any questions or have a case you would like to discuss, please contact your local Business Development Manager or our Mortgage Desk.
